Castelmoron-sur-Lot

Nestled in a meander of the Lot Valley, the village of Castelmoron grew around its castle in the 13th century. In the 16th century, it became a major refuge for Protestant Calvinists. The village hides some remarkable architecture, most notably the Château Solar. Castelmoron is also cherished for its lively port and the sandy beach in the neighbouring parish of Le Temple-sur-Lot.

The Garden of Lilies

Located in Temple-sur-Lot, the Latour-Marliac garden has showcased water lilies since 1875. Home to over 200 hardy and tropical varieties, Art Nouveau ponds and a Victoria water lily greenhouse, it also features a restaurant where you can dine overlooking the stunning ponds.

Wine Museum

Bordeaux has two wine museums. Alongside the famous Cité du Vin, the Musée du Vin et du Négoce in Chartrons offers a glimpse into the city’s wine trade from the cellars of a merchant who served Louis XV, ending with a complimentary tasting.

Parc-en-Ciel

For families, Parc-en-Ciel is a fantastic day out. This park offers forest walkways, an animal farm and themed gardens, making it an exciting destination for children and adults alike.

Aquarium de Périgord Noir

If you're looking for something unique, the Aquarium de Périgord Noir is Europe’s largest privately owned aquarium. With over 70 tanks and 6,000 animals, including alligators, anacondas, iguanas and caimans.

La Base

Spread over six hectares and open year round, the omnisport centre offers sports and recovery facilities, pools, sauna, fitness rooms, martial arts spaces, physiotherapy, two restaurants and on-site accommodation.

Parc Aux Dinosaures Dordogne

The Dinosaur Park takes you through prehistoric eras, from the first land dwelling lizards and edaphosaurs to iconic Jurassic creatures like the T-Rex. Spread over 18 hectares, it features 30 life sized species to explore and discover.

Happy Forest Parc

Happy Forest offers a range of family friendly outdoor activities. Enjoy rope courses, roll inside an inflatable zorbing ball, take part in laser games or an escape room and meet friendly pigs and goats at the petting zoo.
